Description
ScummVM 0.5.0pre-cvs Built on Jul 13 2003 02:36:02 If you use unusual long named items toghether, the text is wrapped around and the last letter overlap with the first. The original just truncated the text in such a case. For example in Maniac Mansion if you try "use developer tray with sponge with developer" the part "loper" at the end overlaps with "use d" at the beginning.

I think I saw this in some German version games, too, recently. But I don't remember exactly where it was. If I encounter this again, I'll make a savegame and a screenshot.

Err, well, *which* games, though? There are a lot of german LucasArts adventures :-) If you can't specify this (and ideally provide concrete test cases), there is nothing we can do.

It seems fixed, now. At least it works fine with the German Amiga version and the German VGA versionn of MI1 with the line "benutze Heftklammer-Entferner auf wahnsinnig gefhrliches Lama" truncated to "utze Heftklammer-Entferner auf wahnsinnig gefhrliches La" both without graphical glitches. (In the enhanced CD they changed "whansinnig gefhrliches Lama" into "wahnsinniges Lama" in order to get it fit.) Odd thing, however, if I load a savegame right before that line, it just becomes "Benutze Heftklammer-Entferner auf gefhrliches Lama" (Did not checked it with the original.)
If I will encounter still other glitches, I let you know.

The only change I made was for V2, though. I don't see any recent
changes that would have affected the sentence line V3+ games...

What do you mean, "all" ? You only list Maniac Mansion. Which other games are affected
Anyway I fixed this for V2.
