MOHAWK: Riven: Game's console cannot be activated

Description
ScummVM version: 1.10.0git4362-g9c4316b (Aug 7 2017 06:05:07)
Game version: English, 5-CD (v1.02; 1997-11-24)
Platform: mingw-w64 (on Windows 7 64-bit)
In the original game, a development console could be activated by typing "b3hn" and pressing Ctrl+Tab, which, in addition to several debug commands, contained an easter egg in the form of a viewable slideshow of developer photographs (see here and/or here). However, typing "b3hn" and pressing Ctrl+Tab in ScummVM will not activate the console, I presume due to ScummVM taking control of the keyboard inputs.
Note: It is possible that the version of the game that I own simply doesn't have the developer console; confirmation from people with other versions of the game would be appreciated.

Yeah, well, ScummVM already has its own debug console (ctrl-d). Implementing another one does not bring much value. The developer slideshow would be nice to have, I guess, but it can easily be found online.
This is on the Windows version of Riven - I forgot to mention.
