IRC logs are not being published

The web page hosting ​IRC logs has stopped adding new entries.

The last one was called "scummvm.log.03Jan2019".

I've never been on the chat myself, so I can't say what is down.

• the channel (someone would've noticed that)
• the LeChuck bot
• or a mechanism the bot uses to publish

The LeChuck bot is not in the IRC channel, neither is the owner of LeChuck and maintainer of the IRC logs who is Ender / Endy: ​https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/User:Ender

I suggest posting a message to scummvm-devel or sending him an e-mail directly as he is busy and may not have noticed.

Right, dropped him an e-mail to his scummvm.org address with quick note. He may be quite busy so will see when.

There were alternate logs at matzon.dk, but these appear to be offline.

We do still have the alternate logs at echelog:

If there's going to be a new bot, it'd be nice to have something like echelog's "Toggle Join/Part" feature. Hides the clutter.

I had an e-mail from Ender and as can be seen on logs.scummvm.org, this is now fixed and working again. Migrating to a new logging solution is out of scope of this bug, but should be considered... though not an either-or since Ender's LeChuck can still keep chugging and we can add a new shiny bot as well so we have options and coverage in future :)
