Update: I've got a fix in the queue (a simple script patch) but first I need to track down a few more KQ5 versions to verify which ones it should be applied to. It's a messy situation because Sierra eventually noticed this bug but "fixed" in the wrong way.

This affects French, Italian, Mac, and English-Amiga. It can be tested by using the ScummVM debugger to warp to room 109, as opposed to sitting through the introduction.
Thank you for reporting this!
This looks to be a problem with sound 80, which is the music in room 109. The version of the sound that comes with these games, and the CD version, is missing a music signal that the script synchronizes with. Earlier versions of this sound had the missing signal. This wasn't a problem for the CD version as it has a different script to sync off of message audio.
