The game in 'blazing\' seems to be an unknown game variant.

I think this is most probably just an issue with extracting the data files. You only need to use the special extraction tool for the STR and XA files. The other files like bigfile.dat should be simply copied from the CD.

I'm looking at adding a dialog message to let people know about this requirement when they launch the game.

@Pat9496 Which method did you use to extract the files?

I've added some logic to show a dialog to the user if the data files have been incorrectly extracted in this way. Unfortunately I can't replicate the bad extraction myself so I've only included the above version for now.
