Description
Hi. I tried installing scummvm 2.2.0 on my Windows XP SP1 computer using the Windows installer (32 & 64bit), and also tried the Windows XP installer. It installed, but kept crashing upon opening. Here is the error message when using the Windows installer: "The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." When using the Windows XP installer, the program also crashed, but the window disappeared before I could capture the error message. Hope this helps.

While our Windows builds do support Windows XP:
https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Windows
I think that most testing has been done using Windows XP SP3.
That API was added by SP3. See:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/sysinfoapi/nf-sysinfoapi-getlogicalprocessorinformation
I would suggest upgrading your Windows XP machine to SP3 if possible... for other reasons such as Wannacry if you have it on the internet :|

Apart from the SP3 patch for manual install from MS, there is an unofficial SP4 which rolls up all the patches made since SP3 to allow these to be installed in a single executable. Have a google for "RyanVM WinXP SP4" to find this.

No response from submitter and solution exists to upgrade WinXP to SP3 / SP4 to solve this, so closing.
Not a developer but I have a suggestion. To glimpse error messages in the console I recommend pressing alt-enter to pull scummvm out of fullscreen and into a window. You should then be able to see any console messages. Otherwise maybe you could try alt-tabbing and glimpse the console that way.
