Maybe I said incorrectly. In version 2.6 it appears smoother. Playing is unusual.

After many experiments, I found out that it is started after commit 3a59c281793077b10a42d46f5f670bfeb939071c

Thanks for checking :-)
So it's that new vsync option for Surface SDL then.
We did have the option for OpenGL in 2.5.0 already. And I usually have the graphics mode set to OpenGL. So that's why I didn't notice.
I can confirm that the inventory will slide in and out much faster with vsync off (this applied to both Surface SDL and OpenGL).
I will ask whether this is supposed to be like that or whether it requires a fix.
For the time being you might just want to enable or disable the 'V-Sync' checkbox in the launcher setting the way you prefer...

I have just committed a fix for the KYRA3 inventory, since it was easy enough to do.
Please test with 'V-Sync' on whether this more like before.
I just hope that this new options won't cause too many more similar issues...

Thanks for testing!
Are you sure? Nothing was changed there. And I can't reproduce it either.
I just ran Windows 2.5.0 (from here: https://downloads.scummvm.org/frs/scummvm/2.5.0/scummvm-2.5.0-win32-x86_64.zip) side-by-side with self-compiled up-to-date 2.6.0 git master branch. And the inventory panel slides in and out at excactly the same speed for both versions.
