Description
The original version of Simon the Sorcerer 2 for Windows used shadowed subtitles with similar palette to back ground in one sequence. When Simon rides the Lion to the Goblin Camp. There is a specific draw check at lines 899 - 903 of vc_10_draw in simon/vga.cpp which is only ever triggered in this sequence, it is triggered every time the map is shown and could be related.
I have attached screenshots from the original game and a save game. The last two sections of sequence show black subtitles when Simon talks, not sure if that is due to running under Windows XP or if it was bug in original game.
eriktorbjorn, any ideas on this one ? I thought it might be related to the fadeUpPalette() function you altered too.

Since my change to fadeUpPalette() was based guesswork, it could very well be wrong. But if so, I have no way of knowing what it should be like.

There is no point in fixing this issue, since it makes subtitles worse: The shadowing of subtitles in this sequence makes the subtitles more difficult to read. Also the shadowed subtitles appear unreadable (black) in two sections in both original Amiga and Windows versions of Simon the Sorcerer 2.

For future reference, the shadowed subtitles were actually a bug in the original Windows verison.
The code for slowFadeIn function was not updated for differences in Windows code.
