Description
Got an error and a crash in QFG1 VGA when walking to one particular screen. Attached is a savegame (just walk one screen left to trigger the error), and a screenshot of the error message I saw.
Running Windows 10, and was able to reproduce this error in both 2.6.0 and daily build 2.7.0git2287-gf492ace2f0c (the save is from the daily build).

Here's the list of files. I have access to both the QFG collection CD and the GOG version, though my last playthrough was through DosBox, and I copied the files into ScummVM a while ago, so I don't remember which version I'm using.
I was not aware of that easter egg. Will have to look more into that patch once I get this fixed.

Thanks for the file listing; you are indeed missing many resource files, and that's why it's crashing. Every one of those .HEP files should have a corresponding .SCR file. (Heaps and Scripts)
Also, you are using the patched version, but these file mismatches have made it so that the save doesn't work when you have all of the files like I do. So you might have to toss any saves you have.

So this is an issue with game data files. Closing as invalid
Hello! Thanks for reporting this and including all the version details. I tried this save with latest code and it didn't error when I went left to the dagger range.
The most likely cause is that there is something wrong with your game files. A file could be missing, or corrupt, etc. Could you please post a listing of all the files (with file sizes) in your QFG1VGA directory? And if you know how to get the MD5 sums of them, including that would be a big help.
I see from this save that you're playing the unpatched version. I'm just noting that here if anyone else tries to test this -- you need the files from the original floppies to use this save. The CD collections have Sierra's patches applied, I assume GOG does too. If you get an error loading this save, you're not using the original version.
This could very well be a bug in the game, or a ScummVM bug, but let's rule out the very common cause of corrupt game files first. If your game files are all correct then we'll take it from there, but we'll get this figured out. I imprinted on QFG1VGA as a kid and love it; if you do too then you might like a thing I wrote about it recently: https://www.benshoof.org/blog/quest-for-glory-i-macintosh-easter-egg
