I just set up Obsidian on my Laptop (Win 10, 64 bit) as directed in the Scumm Wiki Obsidian installation webpage (no issues). Scumm recognized & added the game no problem (V1.0,1/13/1997,installed,CD/Win/Eng) using ScummVM v2.7.0git3423-gacee74-a4b76 (10/14/22, 22:01:27)
The game initialized showing the Segasoft/Rocket/Quicktime splash screens fine. When the game started, displaying the 1st still photo, the photo is both squeezed down to a quarter of its normal full-screen width (photo's height was normal game screen height...) AND it was duplicated as well... so that the left half of the game screen is taken up by 2 side-by-side quarter-width opening scene still photos ... and the right half of the screen is black (but still active/usable by the mouse...). Strangely, I can "play" the screen (Rotate it (both squeezed screens rotate simultaneously) & leave it to proceed to the follow-up video cut-scene). The cut-sceen runs/displays perfect (full width & height, runs full through from walking thru the forest, to looking up at the mountain, to looking down at the game title ("OBSIDIAN" in blue text). But going on to the next still scene, the display is squeezed and duplicated again. Can anyone help figure out whet might be going on here. Do I have my game option and/or global option settings incorrect or conflicting maybe...? Very strange... Thanks for any help...
I've tried to attach a SCUMM-generated screenshot of the issue to this ticket as well. Notice the game's mouse pointer is active over at the right side of the game screen.
