As a minimum:
- What model of MacBook?
- What version of MacOS / OSX are you running?
- Which version of ScummVM are you trying to run? v2.6.1 stable? The latest release versions are here: https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/
- If these do not work, try the latest master development releases (v2.7.0pre) from here: https://buildbot.scummvm.org/#/dailybuilds This may be necessary if you have a M1 Macbook.
Let us know if this solves your problem...

If you have:
- A M1 or M2 Mac (as opposed to older Intel macs).
- macOS 11 (Big Sur)
- ScummVM 1.6.1
Then this is à know issue that was discussed on our forum (https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=16756) and confirmed with another user on our Discord server. I have a fix for the next release, but in the meantime the workaround I described in the forum should work and allow you to use ScummVM 3.6.1.
Another solution for that bug is to upgrade to macOS 12.

Would be good to clear this out for 2.9.0 (It might even have been fixed in the previous two versions too). Flagging as High Priority for closure.

I forgot this ticket existed. This was already fixed at least since version 2.8.0, but I think already in 2.7.0 as well. This was just a matter of targeting macOS 11 (adding -mmacosx-version-min=11.0
to the compilation flags) when building for ARM.
@battlesg: You have not read the Bug Submission guidelines on the front page, specifically we would need a bit more information to debug this:
