Description
I'd like to report that hot spots and walk behind areas turn to solid white rectangles in many places in the game. The issue is reproduced at the same places / moments. Examples from the beginning of the game:
- When going back down from the room, the balustrade right next to the stairs turn into a solid white rectangle.
- When placing the second fax from the office on the automatons hand at the entrance of the notary office and activating it, right when the scene changes back from the notary's office to the outside, the area where the automatons hand and the fax it reads turns into a solid white rectangle.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Much appreciated.
I'm working on the Mac version of the game, as this is the only version that works in ScummVM; the PC version work but as a standalone game, without ScummVM.
System: Windows 10 (22H2)
ScummVM version: 2.8.0git3829-gdca58c2cb05-dirty (Apr 14, 2023)
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (latest driver version)
ScummVM settings are the default ones when adding the game - I did not change render settings or anything else.
Let me know if anything else is needed.
Thanks

Seeing https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=17021
I wonder if the extraction method may be related to this, e.g. the warning after extracting with 7-zip on windows.
EDIT: I have experienced the same issue on windows.. I'll try unpacking via WSL and update

Ok, no changes in extracted files if extracting with unar via WSL comparing to 7-zip
although now that I have played the game with latest daily build the issue did not reproduce for me

Oh, thanks for checking - I meant to follow up. Does it reproduce in the latest release build (2.9.0)? There were 2 changes that could have fixed this:
https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commit/e01f0a1ce943a88c51b8db0d39ff3a3dfdc8508f
and
https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commit/645230091f29ddcb73474cd820581e5f739afa15
.. more likely the second one, but I totally forgot to come back to this issue.
Both should have gone in to the 2.9 stable release.

Thank you, the issue seems fixed in daily build. I haven't check stable but according to the date of the commits it is should fixed there as well :)
Those are both working fine for me on MacOS with OpenGL rendering. Could you give some more details about the platform / renderer / build you're using?
Could you also confirm if you are using standard & up-to-date video drivers for your platform as it seems like a weird issue.
