Description
When trying to add the version of King's Quest 7 contained on the King's Quest Collection (1997 version), the following error appears (ScummVM version 2.8.1):
The game in 'King's Quest 7\' seems to be an unknown game variant.

You are missing the AVI subdirectory; the KQ7 2.00 detection entries rely on that. Removing it produces the same Unknown version results. Copy all the files from the CD and it will work.

Umm...no, I'm not. I just double-checked my install folder and the AVI folder is there. I did install the game using the modern Windows installer from the Sierra Help Pages. Could that have had something to do with it?
EDIT: Never mind. I discovered the problem. The installer I used doesn't copy over all the files expected by ScummVM.
Thanks for reporting this. This is odd because we have entries for these files, just not in this combination. What's also odd is that I'm not getting the unknown game variant message on this version, even though the files match what you've posted.
I'll debug the detection soon and see what's going on.
