Unknown game variant for ultima

The game in 'ULTIMA8' seems to be an unknown game variant.

I used the offical game from the CD and updated it via the offical german patch.

Ehm, all CD versions of Ultima VIII (perhaps with exception of the very original CD release) already should be patched out of the box. What kind of version do you have? Perhaps try again without applying the patch?

Edit: Take a look at the CD. If 1994 is printed on it, it's unpatched. Any higher year, and it is. The patched version also has has different Origin logo.

2nd Edit: Just a note, I'm not part of the team, just an Ultima fan with some knowledge that could be important.

@GermanTribun Tested it without the patch and now it works. Thanks for the tip. Could have saved me hours finding the patch.
