BS2/WINCE: Crash after getting away from Quaramonte

Reported by: SF/kralikba Owned by: SF/arisme
Priority: normal Component: Engine: Sword2
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: Broken Sword 2

Description

On Windows Mobile 2003: (Dell Axim X3i) The game crashes after our hero breaks out of Quaramonte jail, and Nico gets out of the General's house. Even the movie does not play. Also sometimes at other places the game crashes, but those were solvable by watching the cutscene on PC and then making a savegame. No problem occurs using ScummVM version 0.6.1b, just under 0.7.0. Hereby I attach the savegame that makes the crash happen.

p.s.: It is Broken Sword 2 "rip" without the sound.clu -s and music.clu -s but with the videos for PC. Unfortunately the link I found for the Pocket PC video ripping would just not do anything except for showing a DNS error.

Hello,

Have a look at this link: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php? thread_id=1225016&forum_id=115756 Maybe the crash is related to this point, wich was fixed by eriktorbjorn (at least your savegame is at the point described there). I have tested your attached savegame with a self compiled PocketScumm from CVS Head (2005-02-10) and I have no problem loading the savegame and go further on with the game. Im using the german version of BS2 with ogg compressed sounds and music.

kind regards

Frank
