#2037 closed defect (wontfix)

ISO copy makes game freak out

Reported by: SF/murak Owned by: fingolfin
Priority: normal Component: Engine: SCUMM
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: Monkey Island 3

Description

I use a bin/cue cd copy of Monkey 3 (not my own copys) and use Daemon Tools to mount them. When I get to the middle of the game and it asks me to change to "game cd 2" I do so and after a few seconds a new request pops up; to put "game cd 1" in the drive. Of course I do so. Then after maby two seconds it asks for "game cd 1 " again. This procedur reapetes it selfe (untill I gave up)

Should I make my own ISO copy of the game or should I use the original cds? If you fix this "ISO problem" I will donate a suitable gift. Thank you for a greate program!

Scummvm 0.7.1 English version of game I use win XP I attach a save game just before its time to change cd (just "use" the shovel)

how about buying the game? will be cheaper than providing a suitable gift for the team :-)

We do not support playing from ISO copies. Either use the original discs, or copy the game files from the original discs to your HD and play them from there directly.
