Description
Hi I use ScummVM 0.8.1 I have been trying to run the version of monkey island mac that is included in the "Lucasarts mac cd game pack" and although the GUI recognizes the game files as a Monkey Island game, it doesnt recognize the platform. When i try to start the game i get an "connot find 000.lfl" error then a crash. I run winXP and use HFVexplorer to acsess the mac disk files.
Here is some info from the games files in case it helps: Monkey Island (0 bytes) Monkey1.000 (8.955 bytes) Monkey1.001 (1.170.183 Bytes) Monkey1.002 (911.949 Bytes) Monkey1.003 (917.242 Bytes) Monkey1.004 (875.750 Bytes) Monkey1.005 (930.111 Bytes)
also here are the MD5 checksums Monkey Island (d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e) Monkey1.000 (b9ba19ce376efc69be78ef3baef8d2b9) Monkey1.001 (1b278cfd24f6d5142babc92c3a59adf1) Monkey1.002 (5c2c82fb573e90bcfd24d8e0f90831c2) Monkey1.003 (b631a601be24eb55bc706910b1b1b6b0) Monkey1.004 (8893361bb7f0816c919d48c215d5c105) Monkey1.005 (5080fefa3b59abff7bc606834f7cddb5)
This is an english version of MI
I use the win32 build of 0.8.1
It has been said that this might have worked in 0.6.0, but its possible that this is a different (floppy) version of the game that is being refered to.
I hope this info helps

ScummVM defaults to the VGA version of Monkey Island 1, which is why it tried to open the incorrect files. I added the md5 details to ScummVM, use the next daily snapshot.
What version number is reported, when you check the version under ScummVM, via 'Ctrl V'? it would be useful to know.
This is a version we didn't know about so far, interesting. Though I find it strange that it doesn't support it correctly, even w/o the platform being set, hmmm...
As a temporary fix, try this: Edit your scummvm.ini and go to the entry for this game. There, add a target_md5=2ccd8891ce4d3f1a334d21bff6a88ca2
Does that help?
