ScummVM is 0.10.0 zipped windows build. Testing with the latest subversion build made no difference.
I would guess that I have a copy that is slighy different that whatever was used for your tests.
Other info:
Language: English version: CD - Dig 1.01 2/7/96 (as read from the readme.txt)
If the other files from this CD version are needed please just let me know and I'll upload a RAR of the ISO.
Ticket imported from: #1743220. Ticket imported from: bugs/3274.

Distributing a file in this context is not only legal where I am (outside of the DMCA's reach) but it's actually legal within the US as well due to the fair use clause of the copyright law.
As for the error you are 100% correct.. I didn't even think of a copy error.. but sure enough that file was corrupted .. recopying it fixed the issue right away. MT :)

Distributing files which are part of your copy of The Dig in the public as you do here is not legal. Hence I have removed the attached DIG.LA0 file.
I still had a look at the file, and it is clearly defective, as it starts with a big bunch of zeroes (90% of the file). I recommend that you copy it again from your CD. If it stays bad, then your CD is damaged :/.
