To process your bug report appropriately, we need you to provide the following additional information:

* ScummVM version (PLEASE test the latest CVS/Daily build) * Bug details, including instructions on reproducing it * Language of game (English, German, ...) * Version of game (talkie, floppy, ...) * Platform and Compiler (Win32, Linux, MacOS, ...) * Attach a save game if possible * If this bug only occurred recently, please note the last version without the bug, and the first version including the bug. That way we can fix it quicker by looking at the changes made.

This should only take you a little time but will make it much easier for us to process your bug report in a way that satisfies both you and us.

Thank you for your support!

* ScummVM Version - WIP version 0.11.0svn * Bug details - The game starts through the opening sequence of the game showing a black screen with the voice saying "The old man was trying to tell the future, looking for pictures in the campfile." Then a close-up picture of the old man appears on the screen showing just the middle of his face...eyes, ears, and nose. It is during the time the old man says ..."Oh I see evil..." that the game crashes. * Language of the game - English * Version of the game - CD, v0.0372 * Platform - PalmOS for Tapwave Zodiac * This bug has occurred in previous builds.

I've tried the floppy version. The game starts, showing Virgin and Revolution logos then it crashes. Skiping the intro make the game playable. I'll check if there is no alignment issue.

Lowering priority slightly. While this is a critical bug, it can be avoided by skipping the intro.

Any news on this, chrilith?

Raising priority. This bug is nice to get fixed before the release.

Hi,

I'll need some help to know where to look at in the Sky code (as you may know there isno easy way to debug on PalmOS and so I do printf debugging...:).

For me, this is an alignment issue since it wasn't occurring before. It crashes just before the big BASS logo appear.

Thanks for tips.

Hi Chrilith, I don't know SKY very well, you may want to ask eriktorbjn, though. I am still not clear as to where the crash happens: The original bug report says in the first scene, you say you can circumvent the crash by skipping the intro... ? The intro code seems to be in engines/sky/intro.cpp, so that might be a good place to start looking.

Lowering priority. The PalmOS port is apparently dead, at least for now, so there is no point in letting bugs for it rise to the top of our priority queue (they'll just sit there forever).

comment:19 by fingolfin, 14 years ago

Closing as out of date -- the PalmOS port is dead.
