FF: Freeze after Sam shoots bird

System information: * Scummvm 0.12pre from 26/7/08 compiled using MSVC8. * Feeble Files English 4 CD talkie version * Windows XP

I've attached a savegame from on the Planet Filb after having captured Filbert. If you switch to Sam using the button at the top of the screen, leave the lab and go to the top of the mountain, and shoot the bird. After it falls from view the game will hang for about a minute. The following message is then displayed: "WARNING: waitForSync: wait timed out!"

and the game then resumes.

I'm using the cutscenes converted as .dxa and .ogg files, and Voices1.wav through Voices4.wav. I also confirmed that this problem occurs in a version compiled using MinGW as well.

I'm unable to reproduce this issue, and I suspect it is another timing issue in the original game. I recall seeing similar issue in that scene in the past, but was unable to reproduce it.

Are you sure the steps to reproduce the issue are exactly right? as it always seem to be a very specific series of events that trigger these timing issues.

Okay, I did some further experimentation, and confirmed that the problem does only occur in certain circumstances.

The problem seems to occur dependant on the position of the bird when you click the Missile icon on it. If it's at the back of it's route, such that the animation of Sam firing occurs before he actually says "Fire", then the delay problem occurs. If, however, you click on the bird just after it's come to the forward point of it's route, such that Sam has time to say "Fire" and then wait until the Bird is in the correct position, the cutscene completes correctly.

If it's a timing issue from the original game, hopefully it's still fixable if you'll be able to now reproduce it.
