ELVIRA1: Problem with 8-character-long save names

Description
Using ScummVM 1.0.0pre043108 under Win XP SP3. The bug occurs with both the DOS (English) and the Amiga (English) version of Elvira 1.
When trying to save in Elvira, you have to enter a name for the save. You can't type more than 8 characters for that name. If you pick a name that is exactly 8 characters long (e.g. "abcdabcd"), the save is properly created (elvira.nnn in the save folder), but it seems like the game can't see it. Two problems occur :
1) the save can't be loaded (the game says it doesn't exist); 2) if you try to save again under that name, the game doesn't know it exists and just creates a new save.
