Description
Hi,
there is a general problem in the dialogs with the spacing when displaying German "ß" characters. The following (next after the "ß") character is drawn over the "ß" character hiding it. Also if the next character is a space, the following word starts immediately after the word ending in "ß".
I attached a save game from where you can start with talking to the "Bäcker". You can see the problem in the dialog, when chosing: "Ich suche meinen Freund, den Professor". The next dialogs will contain the word "Vermißtenstelle" where the "ß" is hidden behind the "t".
But this affects all dialogs we have seen so far.

Sorry, I forgot to explicitly mention that copying the "charszgr.dta" file from the game CDROM to my Bud_Tucker folder fixed the problem and the spacing is now perfect!

Ok I added the need to keep *.DTA files to our wiki page. I'm also closing this one as invalid then.

Sort-of fixed in commit 049eff4. Now, 'ß' gets properly displayed even when falling back to our "hard-coded charszgr.dta". You still want to copy the file if you want text spacing to be exactly like in the original game, though.
Ok, while my wife continued testing the game, I searched a little around in the source code and found out that cause is a missing file named "charszgr.dta" in the German version. (name is good hint that it is about the character sz = ß)
As the http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Datafiles#Bud_Tucker_in_Double_Trouble did not mention to keep the *.dta files, I deleted it. I only keep the files from the Datafiles page when testing the games. Source code indicates that also the English version needs a charsize.dta file.
Easy fix would be to mention that the "*.dta" files are needed for proper gameplay on the Datafiles page.
Cheers
