#466 closed defect (wontfix)
ZAK256: drop slot in san francisco
Reported by: | SF/martingu | Owned by: | fingolfin |
---|---|---|---|
Priority: | normal | Component: | Engine: SCUMM |
Version: | Keywords: | script | |
Cc: | Game: | Zak McKracken |
Description
not sure if it's a bug: the drop slot is closed, so it has to be opened, the artefact must be thrown in and then the slot has to be closed again. in all other versions of zak mckracken (pc, c64, amiga, atari st) the slot's opened and when you throw in your artefact it automatically closes, so there's no need to open or close the slot

like bug #613387 this is also an issue that only appears in the fmtowns version but not in c64, amiga, atari st or ibm (any version I forgot?), which I tested all.

You mean the same thing occurs in the "original" ? In this case it seems the data file is the problem and we should close this as wontfix. of course unless we find some genious way to hack around a bug in the data file..

yes, the dropslot's initially closed and has to be manually opened and closed in the original just like it's done by scummvm right now.
unfortunately it seems as if lucasarts (or whoever) didn't work very exact when porting the game from v2 to v3.

Please always include all information (version of ScummVM you use, OS, which game, which version of the game (english/german/french/...), even if you submit a dozen bug reports in a row :-) Thank you.
