TUCKER: Royston leaves a trail of black bobs

Reported by: raziel- Owned by: sev-
Priority: normal Component: Engine: Tucker
Version: Keywords:
Cc: Game: Bud Tucker

Description

ScummVM 1.7.0git (Jun 11 2014 20:43:14) Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 RGB zLib MPEG2 Theora AAC FreeType2 JPEG PNG

After giving the burger to Royston he will lead on into his home.

The first room is a non accessable room only used for transition. When Royston crosses the room he leaves black "bobs" on the floor which are partly erased by Bugs's ego when he walks past them, so i guess this isn't meant to be.

Save game at Royston's attached Screenshot will follow

Bud Tucker in Double Trouble (DOS/English)

AmigaOS4 - PPC - SDL - BE gcc (GCC) 4.2.4 (adtools build 20090118)

See the bobs...which could be the drops from his wine glass maybe, but they still look wrong...also mind the fact the rug is clean when Bud leaves the box and crosses the room a second time

I checked the original interpreter.

It's a bug, there shouldn't be anything left behind Royston

raziel_: Can you please attach the equivalent savegame from the original interpreter running in DOSBox to allow comparison by developers? Thanks.

Savegame from original interpreter played with DosBox

Replicated with latest Git master on Linux x86_64 with (DOS/German) variant and the attached savegame i.e. Not BE specific bug.

This looks like a redraw bug where the masking of the Royston sprite when moving is not quite correct with the "shadow" leaving these glitches.

Looks like a bug in the original even, but PR-1118 fixed it.
