#7214 closed feature request

A good F5 menu

Description

A good F5 menu, like the Sam & Max one and delete the actual. This one is soooo ugly and the Options menu (I think) is not neccesary. You can put the option in the left box when you press F5 (Like Sam&Max too).

I haven't seen the Sam&Max save game menu for years, and can't play Sam & Max natively on my machine either - could you make a screenshot of this dialog, so that I can see what it's supposed to look like?

Looks okay. Someone really DOES need to code a slider and checkbox widget :)

I have a suggestion for the new menu: As I see, the "options" menu is not really much better so far. Maybe you should avoid all these sub menus by just putting the contents of "sound", "misc" and "keys" directly to the options menu and add the buttons "about" and "close" to it. This way we have a big options screen, where all is configurable without that clicking through a bunch of sub menus. When the new menu is finished and assigned to F5, just make F7 a new hotkey to the options sub menu then.

an option to adjust the mouse sensitivity whould also be nice.

Closing this, as the NewGui menu should be sutible for most purposes (we're still finetuning the design, so don't panic :).

trin: Mouse sensitivity is not an option. That's controlled by the operating system, and we want code to be as platform independant as possible... except for the obvious low-level stuff like sound and graphics. So no :)
