Description
What I was thinking of was something in the way how ZSNES can make the old sprites (and other graphics) look better. And you could chose which graphical engine you wanted to use (sai, 2xsai, (super)eagle, ...). Imagine being able to play a good oldie in a better graphics (if you wanted to, of course). :D
As far as I remember, I think that also Exult had the (Super)Eagle grpahical engine in it as an option.

Erm, we've already had scaler support for about 3 years (The SAI family, ?xHQ family, AdvMame family, ectera). They are selectable via the menu or hotkeys.
