Description
How about a way to record/log the sound/music that the game produces while you play and dump them into a separate file to listen, in wave format if possible. Other programs that can extract the midi can do this, but when you play it, you can only hear piano and precussion because it can't be played using general MIDI instruments. To download music wou would get cheap substitutions for the scumm midi and ifferent sounds would come out. Can it be like the recording features of emulators for other systems (e.g. NES) and record while you play and stop whenever you want and save the sound?

Such a feature doesn't further the goal of ScummVM (to make it possible to play certain old adventures on modern computers). Also it means additional work for the team, including development, documentation, and support. Finally, as was pointed out here, if you really want to record the audio, your OS should already provide you with suitable tools.

What about using of your OS capability to record it? Just switch record source in mixer to wav output and you will achieve same result. IMHO it's not ScummVM's job.
