Description
I would really like to see something like a "Fast Forward" key that speeds up the game 2x (or 3x or whatever, perhaps set by an option) so that a user can get through a long, tedious scene quickly.
I just get frustrated by all these characters walking to the rescue rather than running. If I had to rescue someone, you can bet that I'd be running.

As Kirben mentioned, some of the games supported by ScummVM already have such a feature. Others simply allow you to reduce the time text appears on the screen, or allow you to skip over text or cutscenes (in SCUMM games, use "." and ESC for this).
But in general, hacking something like this in will break game synchronization in bad ways (the above mentioned hacks sometimes do that, too), so it's not desirable.

For which game?
Most games under ScummVM already offer fast modes via 'Ctrl f' and/or 'Ctrl g'.
