Cleaned up the image, removed some jaggies and got rid of scanning/compression artifacts.

No offense meant, but the "new" tentacle looks considerably worse than the Tentacle picture in the original Photoshop design. In particular, below the right arm (the one with the gun), Purple Tentacle's side is very ragged...
No idea how it looked before the patch, I guess I should search through CVS to find out :-)
I guess the issues is there because we use GIF which only supplies 1 bit for transparency, and not PNG with full 8bit alpha channel (which of course is incompatible with MS IE -- oh, how I hate it :-/).
That said, can somebody explain to me why an alpha channel is required there at all?

I merely removed some single pixels sticking out on the right side and made the big purple and green parts one color instead of having artifacts; the part below the arm is unchanged
also note that in the version on the site there's still a single pixel on the right, why this appears is beyond me (it's not in the .gif)
