Description
Sometimes, when discovering the doctor's corpse in the chapel, the dramatic corpse-discovered sound effect isn't played by ScummVM. Pausing the game causes the missing sound effect to play when resuming.
I'm using the nightly build with the default ScummVM audio settings on Windows 7 x64.
Attached is a save game standing right outside the chapel that reproduces this. Just hit the Right key to enter. A popup will appear with a close-up of the body and text ("Oh, no!! ...") and a sound effect should play but doesn't. After dismissing the popup, if you do something to pause the game music like pressing Escape to bring up the game's menu or F5/F7 to bring up ScummVM's save/restore screens, then when canceling these actions and resuming the game the missing sound effect will play and the room music will not resume. So at least the effect is getting queued up. Another example: pressing F1 to bring up the help screen.
If you load this saved game and don't enter the chapel immediately and instead wait a few seconds, another character will wander by and her music will play until she leaves. If that happens, the corpse sound effect might play when you enter. If you enter immediately though, it will definitely not play.
