I'm not that familiar with how game detection works, but I'm guessing that it tries to detect it as an AGI game (not RAMA, which uses the SCI engine) because of a file named "title". (It uses that file name to detect the Amiga version of Winnie the Pooh in the Hundred Acre Wood.)
Rendezvous with Rama is not a supported game, and I guess it's unavoidable that the detection gets confused sometimes.
