AGS: Lancelot's Hangover (and others?) - Purple/magenta sprite color appears transparent

A lot of the text dialogue in the game is missing. The speech bubbles appear empty instead. However other text in the game is displayed properly.
There's also seems to be a drawing issue (the robes of a guy speaking during the intro are transparent on ScummVM but not when launched from Steam).
This issue was first reported on the Android port subforum. However, I was able to verify that it is not Android specific, since I bought the game (on Steam) during the holiday sales and did some testing of my own.
I've tested with ScummVM 2.6.0git (today's build with enable-release from master) and ScummVM 2.5.0 on Windows 10 Pro x64 21H2 build 19044.1415.
These issues are observed during the game's intro, so no need to attach a save game.
I will be attaching ScummVM screenshot(s) and screenshot(s) from running directly via Steam.
Note: The game comes with a content warning. It's humorous from what I understand, but probably not everyone's cup of tea.

Update 18 Feb 2023:
- The game is added to detection, so it's now detected properly.
- The speech bubbles in the intro now contain text.
- The drawing issue with the guy's robes (as shown in attached screenshots) still persists. I think this is the only bug left from the original ones reported.

I've just tested with latest HEAD from master (2.8git) and there's been an improvement. Edit: I've also tested with 2.7.0 and the results are similar (text is fixed, drawing still persists).
I can see text in the speech bubbles during the intro. I have not compared it yet with the intro when launching the game from Steam again, but I believe that the text would be the same.
The issue with the guy's robes being drawn as "transparent" persists.
I did try to get some new screenshots but there's a new bug (I believe it's already reported in another ticket), with ScummVM's screenshots in AGS games. All my screenshots came out as completely black screens (even though they were > 1MB in size).

@antoniou79 may I ask the status of this bug on 2.7.0? Any improvements?
I don't have this game and I can't check...
