WME3D: ctrl+f5 to return to laucher not works

Description
Title says it all. When we run any WME3D based game (such as Alpha Polaris or Art Of Murder), then hitting ctrl+f5 to back to launcher doing nothing.

wme3d is not completed yet and also not supported yet

I am experiencing the same issue with Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches, even though, to my knowledge, that is not a 3D game. Control+F5 does nothing, and the only way to return to launcher is Alt+F4.
