This bug happens quite often for unknown reasons. Once in the
front door of FunFrock’s HQ in Principal Island, after killing
the supergro, you are supposed to open the big door with the
key you just got. Sometimes the key is used (it appears on the
head of Twinsen) but the door keeps closed.
This bug is not so harmful, as it can be solved just by
waiting a bit longer, checking the Holomap or reading the Book
of Bu from the inventory; the door will be opened when the
game comes back.
It is said that this bug happens when you go to FunFrock's HQ
before you are supposed to (after talking with the clone in
Tippett Island about the Teleportation Center's plans), but
it happened to me even going when I had to.

As this is an original bug, the fix is hidden behind the "Enable enhancements" option

Is this an option exposed to the user GUI?
I got this bug three time now (I haven't been able to successfully open the door as of yet).
I tried both in high resolution mode and low resolution mode (low resolution mode makes it more obvious when an item is used, including the key to that door -- the high resolution mode sometimes does not show that).
I tried waiting for many minutes, reading the Book of Bu (waited for the full narration to complete), opened, used for a bit and then closed the holomap (this has an effect of making patrolling enemies, who I did not kill in the scene, glide afterwards), but the door never opened, even though the key for it was "spent", and I believe there's also the sound effect of the door opening actually playing, but the door does not move.
As far as I can tell, I've done everything else so far, so this is the next step that I have to do to make progress in the game -- but the bug blocks me from progress.
This is on Windows 10, ScummVM 2.9.0git built from master, latest HEAD.
Attaching a save game (it puts Twinsen outside the fort, so one has to make their way to the door killing a few enemies, and avoiding others).
In case this is affecting the game's behavior, I have set ScummVM to use the following random seed: 2278963219
