Description
I did a playthrough of Blackwell Legacy and Blackwell Legacy Demo and both are completable with scummvm. Nice work!
I found some issues when comparing to the original though:
- The original uses full wide screen whereas the scummvm version gives me black borders on the sides.
- The walk speed is slower in scummvm
- The fonts are quite ugly in scummvm
- In the savegame dialogue the highlighting and the cursor are shifted out of place.
If you want I can open separate issues. I can also provide screenshots if needed. All issues should be reproducible in the first scene of the free demo version: http://www.wadjeteyegames.com/demos/Blackwell_Demo.zip

- The original uses full wide screen whereas the scummvm version gives me black borders on the sides.
I can't reproduce this unless I intentionally stretch the window to a size that doesn't make sense (e.g. twice as tall as it is wide).
If I make the ScummVM Launcher window intentionally small, then launch the game, it scales to the original size and there are no black borders on things such as the location select (there are black borders on areas such as Rosangela's room, but that's an intentional artistic decision).
- The fonts are quite ugly in scummvm
Does "ugly" mean blurry? If so, this could this be a side effect of the OpenGL graphics mode that makes the game blurrier compared to the default in Steam/GOG. Changing the rendering to SDL Surface will make it look like the original interpreter. Otherwise, I'm not sure what "ugly" means.

@Thunderforge
He is using an old version of the game which used different fonts. If you download the linked demo you'll see what he means.
By the way, I just pushed an upstream fix for the "slow walking speed" in Apprentice which should also fix issue n.2 in this bugreport.

So I think where we stand is:
- The original uses full wide screen whereas the scummvm version gives me black borders on the sides.
Can't reproduce.
- The walk speed is slower in scummvm
Just fixed upstream.
- The fonts are quite ugly in scummvm
Expected behavior for the demo.
- In the savegame dialogue the highlighting and the cursor are shifted out of place.
Still an issue.
Is that correct?

Is that correct?
Correct. The misalignment issue n.4 too is related to the fonts and only happens in the demo or the old version.

The "ugly fonts" issue is fixed, only the alignment bug remains.
It also happens when using the upstream interpreter (latest 3.6 stable, didn't test with the 3.6.1 beta)
Setting low priority, as this is a really minor issue affecting an old version of the game.

Thanks for you report! Both the demo and the version you are using (1.4 if I remember your previous bugreport) use a quite old version of AGS and cause some problems with Scummvm's implementation.
The "slow walk" and the glitches in the save screen don't happen with the current GOG version.
Regarding the fonts, unfortunately the characters often render differently between the original interpreter and scummvm, it also affects other games.
I can't reproduce the "black borders" issue, though. If you cycle stretch modes (ctrl+alt+s, or use the setting in "game options") you can't get it to fill the screen?
