Description
I am using ScummVM version 2.8.1.
In Space Quest 2, in scenes where you have text boxes display for a limited time, the text boxes are moving a little too quickly for me, particularly since I like to read the text aloud when I am playing by myself.
I had a similar problem with the introductory text for King's Quest 3, though some developers got to work on that fairly quickly. I now suspect this may be an issue for many AGI games that run on ScummVM.
I am playing the English GOG version of the game.
I am running the game on Windows 11 Home, version 23H2.

Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Please test with a recent daily build (2.9.0git) if possible.
The fix that was implemented for the KQ3 ticket is now part of the ScummVM source code and available in the 2.9.0 developer builds.
The 2.8.1 has the old behavior (regression) for the automated text boxes, and thus it is expected that AGI games that make use of those would go by quickly.
