Description
Built on Apr 18 2002 00:53:47 win32 I play with -ewindows -r In Woodtick I hear only drums. And in some other music drums appear much louder than the other instruments. I tried it with my Terratec Maestro 32 Wavetable and also with my external Yamaha MU5.
Are the attack values and/or channel volumes not compatible General Midi compatible? Then you should translate the values from MT32 to GM like you did with the instruments.

Well, the values are slightly different... but I'm not sure what the proper translations are. Also the drum instrument problems are probably because the instrument translation table isn't perfect. It's only a guess - some instruments may play as drums that SHOULD be mapped to something else.
I've just updated the translation table, so midi sounds a little better.. but be aware midi support is fairly experimental. Timings are off, instruments may be off - expecially with roland conversion, etc.
Feel free to download the source and play with the midi pitch/volume/program control code in imuse.cpp
Closing, as this isn't a real 'bug' so much as a technical difficulty.
