DW2: Unsupported US version?

Description
My version of Discworld 2 (PC DOS/Win purchased in Canada at the time of the original release) does not include the "ENGLISH" TXT, IDX & SMP files. Instead the files are called "US". Renaming them to "ENGLISH1" & "ENGLISH2" seems to work. Also, the background graphic on the title screen is different from the one on the DOS/Windows version.
Tested on: ScummVM 0.14.0svn (Apr 16 2009 21:28:24) Ubuntu 8.10 Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 ALSA zLib FluidSynth
Ticket imported from: #2772743. Ticket imported from: bugs/4312.

Renaming the files to us1 & us2 seems to work. I didn't see this anywhere in the docs, so perhaps the wiki needs to be updated.

Main menu graphic is still different. Again, not a big deal and perhaps this was intended?

I presume you mean the title is different, which is correct, in that the US localised version had it's name changed to "Mortality Bytes".

The US version is already meant to be correctly detected, as long as you correctly rename the files to 'us1.*' and 'us2.*'. Are you sure you correctly renamed the files initially?
