WII: FT crash during intro

Description

During the intro, right after Ripburger talks about his ear problem, I get a black screen and the Wii go bakc to the HBC. This problem does'nt occurr on Mac port.

Did you recompress the video or audio files?

Yes, both. Audio is ogg. Is maybe the usual ogg problem of the wii port?

Possibly, there's another item about problem with ogg encoded audio. Which encoder and version did you use?

Hard to say, I encoded FT years ago, the first time scummvm supported it, with included tools, and always used those encoded data files with succes on any version on PC and MAC ports since then. Later I'll try to re-encode the original files with current version tools.

Ok nice, it's worth a try I guess.

If you're lucky your encoder left some version info in your current ogg files as metadata.

Did recompressing the sound files with a recent ogg encoder fix the problem?

Ok, recompressing the datafiles with current version tools did the trick. Case closed, thank you everyone

I once hunted this issue down to a crash somewhere in the Tremor lib, but couldn't pinpoint the real bug. Maybe its just a malformed stream from a buggy encoder, I don't know. I close this item with "invalid" for now, just because I don't see anything I can fix at this point.

Oh btw: do you still have the old files? can you check the meta information of those with e.g. winamp? The used encoder may have written its name and version there.
