Description
I have an iPad 2 with iOS 5.0.1 (jailbroken) an Apple TV 2 with latest Firmware (jailbroken) and ScummVM running on the iPad. I was waiting for this for a long time, because I wanted to use the "Airplay Mirroring" feature of iOS 5, which lets you mirror the screen of your iPad to your TV over Apple TV 2. So I thought I could play all my old LucasArts Games on my TV in the living room. The problem is: when I hold the iPad in portrait-mode I have a small game-window and a keyboard in the iPad and the TV - so far so good. When I rotate the iPad to landscape, ScummVM goes into fullscreen on the iPad and also changes on the TV, but on the TV it is vertically fullscreen (rotated 90° counter clockwise) but not horizontally as it should. So it shows the same screen as the iPad, but somehow the "Rotation-Info" is not passed to the Apple TV 2 correctly.

I think you are right, the problem seems to be that something regarding rotation isn't handled properly. Airplay mirroring should simply work without any coding on the developers side.

Would be good to resolve this for the 2.9.0 release, if it is still an issue after the iOS changes that have happened in the last few years.

I don't have an Apple TV, but I just checked mirroring on a mac and rotation works properly. Given how old that report is, I am guessing it is probably fixed on Apple TV as well, but if somebody has one it might be good to check.
Edit: I tested with the 2.8.1 release from the App Store.
This is probably a symptom of the same cause as this other open bug: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2998867&group_id=37116&atid=418820 "IPHONE: iPad rotation lock not handled properly"
vinterstum: Any idea how hard this will be to fix?
