Description

After entering the Queen's room, if you take the spectacles, the spectacles hotspot remains active on the box (where the spectacles were) - see the screenshot. (You can take the spectacles by moving Were-Blount and Fulbert through the right door, then make Fulbert climb the collonade and nudge the box, then clicking with Were-Blount on the spectacles, then moving Fulbert through the left door and moving to the flagstone below Were-Blount - the spectacles should land safely on the floor.) Game version: DOS/English CD version 1.02 and DOS/English (GB) Floppy version 1.00 - both distributed by GOG.com ScummVM version: Debian 64bit latest development version - ScummVM 1.7.0git37-g94fd380 (May 13 2013 05:54:32) - also tested on version 1.4.1

I don't know how the original engine handles it, but i also don't see an issue here.

The "spectacles" are an recurring object, which means that, even if you mess up getting them the first time, there is an infinite amount of them available for you to try to retrieve, hence the "spectacles" hotspot being clickable all the time.
Even the object graphic for the "spectacles" on the bookcase is depicted as a "box" and not the spectacles graphic they used when the object is out of the box, further pointing toward an infinite amount of that object.

What the game does, in case of a successful retrieval of the "spectacles", is to remove the hotspot from the "collonade" and as such making the "spectacles" unreachable for Fulbert after that.

Sounds pretty legit to me.
