KYRA1: hanging notes using MT-32

Description
Latest Win64 daily Kyra1 CD DOS
Start the game (set to use MT-32) and let the intro play. By its end, some hanging notes are audible. For example when Brandon is using the "treelevator". Also when Brandon says "Grand father", a chord is played normally (this chord is not played using AdLib, is this normal?) But when he says "What happened to you?" that same chord is played again with some loud crackling and the notes keep going until you exit the room to trigger the cut-scene.
I've tried with 1.6 and this bug is not present. In fact, strangely enough that offending chord is not played at all in 1.6...
Maybe it's one of those "MT-32: Sync with the latest changes in munt" commits that broke something.

This is a very old ticket and Munt has been updated to the latest version for the next release, so hopefully this issue is resolved now. If it is not, please comment and this ticket can be reopened.
Just to make sure: is this with the mt-32 emulator or a real mt-32?
