Checked with Valgrind. No issues.
domino1983: Could you check with the original interpreter running under DOSBox/Win3.1 playing through to this point? i.e. does this occur in the original?
Also, please play with the latest v1.6.0 stable playing from a clean newgame and see if this occurs again? i.e. is this a bad savestate or is it reliably repeatable?

It took me a while, but I just tested the game under DOSBox and it bahaves EXACTLY the same (pollen disappears, inventory getting empty objects...).

domino1983: Thanks for confirming this. If possible, could you attach a savestate from the original interpreter at this screen to help future developer investigation.
As this is a script bug found in the original interpreter, a workaround may be possible, but please be patient as it may take quite a while before anyone looks at this.

No problem, it's a second savestate on the list named POLLEN. This saves comes from English floppy version.

Thanks. It may be some time before a developer looks at this. Please stand by...

ScummVM 2.2.0git (Jul 15 2020 10:24:49)
Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 RGB zLib MPEG2 Theora AAC A/52 FreeType2 FriBiDi JPEG PNG cloud (servers, local)
I can confirm this issue with above version of ScummVM.
Just to get the details right.
- The scene where it happens is called "FACE" and is a closeup of "Colossus" face (from within the "Clouds" level).
- You play with the bug "Bizoo"
- The only thing that you can (but not must) have in "Bizoo's" inventory, at this point, is a 'toothpick'. (In the attached save game i didn't pick it up from underneath the eyelid, as it is only needed later in the scene and shows how messed up the scripts are)
- Actually the only two objects in this scene are 'toothpick' and later 'Pollen'.
To reproduce:
- Load the saved game (The 'toothpick' is still holding up the right eyelid - from the player's POV)
- Click on either in-game options "Joker", " Goblin News" or "Game Map" from the top of the screen
- Return to the scene
Now the inventory will automatically be filled with six "objects".
- a second 'toothpick'
- five "objects" with no graphic (called '3', '9', '13', '15' and '18', in that order from top left to bottom right)
If you have the 'Pollen' in your inventory at any point and click any of the above mentioned in-game options, you will softlock the game, as in you won't be able to progress any further, the 'pollen' object will be lost.
If you however mess up the inventory and then take the 'Pollen' you'll still be able to finish the section and progress unless you don't mess up the inventory again, which is sadly possible at all times.
Save game attached before the inventory mess-up.
Goblins Quest 3 CD (v1.000/DOS/English (US))
AmigaOS4 - PPC - BE - SDL
Tested with the latest Git master and the attached savegame. Can replicate as the user indicates. Likely a script bug in the original game as the inventory seems to get a bunch of invalid number objects as well :/
