Yes, the colors in videos don't quite match the images in the original as well.
But in ScummVM the videos are a little more green than in the original engine. I'll keep this bug open to keep track of it (I don't know how to fix it).

I remember that the colour was at least a bit improved by https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commit/b775c03c29f6b256e9e01c5481949bb11300ce3a
But I don't know if that provides any clue for improving it further.

The colour conversion seems to be pretty much the same as after that old commit, which was probably based on the description in https://multimedia.cx/mirror/cinepak.txt
Do we have any screenshots from the original engine to confirm that there is a difference? (From what I understand, the attached screenshots are all from ScummVM?)

eriktorbjorn: I seem to remember that this happened with the original engine, but I may be wrong or it may only happen with certain graphic color depths of Windows. There is a longplay video of this here which appears to be the original engine. I am linking the screen inside the Fire Marble in front of the linking book. The issue is quite subtle so not sure if this is visible: https://youtu.be/buM-y61RkIo?t=5621
This issue was present in the original game. It's likely simply a result of the compression of the video files; I doubt that there's much that could be done about it without re-rendering the videos, which of course isn't an option.
