Attaching savegame. Note: I have the E variant i.e. Maniac Mansion (Europe)

The resource in question is called by "playSound #25 (room 17)".
However, I can't heard a rapid ticking, only a slight glitch about every 2 seconds when the sound buffer loops.

Correction..
To Replicate: 1) Load savegame. 2) Read Record (in inventory) - Confirms that this is Tentacle Mating Calls 3. Use Record on Victorola. 4. Turn On Victorola.

I tried to reproduce this using various versions (euro/uk, euro/it and us), using both the roms or the extracted files, and couldn't hear any "rapid ticking". There's a slight "pop"/static that occurs every 10 seconds or so, but that's really a minor issue.
Quietust, since you wrote sound engine for MM NES, may you yourself look into this problem?
